About

My Story

Hi, I’m Alejandra, the creator behind the photographs you find on this website.

My journey with photography began in my native country, Colombia. From a very young age, I was drawn to the peculiarities and beauty I discovered in the garden of my childhood home. The textures, patterns, and tiny forms of life that nature offered me every day sparked a curiosity that never stopped growing.

I began by drawing the things that caught my attention, then experimented with canvas painting. At the age of 12, my grandfather gave me my first camera. Discovering that I could capture in such detail the patterns that fascinated me was an extraordinary experience. From that moment on, photography became a passion that would accompany me throughout my life.

At 19, I decided to study photography at university. During my studies, I specialized in analog photography, an experience that profoundly transformed the way I connected with this art of light. The process of observing, capturing, developing, and sharing my photographs physically taught me to appreciate every stage of creation.

Throughout that period, I developed various artistic projects, eventually leading to my final degree project: a sensory exhibition that combined photography, set design, and lighting, accompanied by a documentary video exploring the subject matter. This project represents a very special part of my journey, and you can discover it, in Spanish, on my YouTube channel.

Today, with almost ten years of experience in professional photography, I continue exploring new ways to share my work and bring my photographs to more people. Each image is my own interpretation of the world we inhabit: an invitation to pause, observe, and connect with the beauty, sensitivity, and vulnerability of this beautiful planet.

This website was born from that desire to keep creating, experimenting, and sharing. It is constantly evolving, with new photographs and digital products added every month, because my creative process never stops growing.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for taking a moment to discover my story and my work. I would love to know what my photographs make you feel. You can share your thoughts, leave a comment, or write a review; your perspective is always welcome and completely free of charge.

Thank you for being here and for being part of this journey. <3
